What’s in a name?
When God reveals himself to Moses – he calls him ‘I am’. Of the six names we have looked at, four times it is humans who say who the I am is…….
The two times God names himself, he says I am who sanctifies you, I am the Lord who is there.
When it comes to defining who God is, he defines himself according to who he is to us – humans, his creation! He is our peace, banner, provider, the one who sees us, makes us holy and is with us.
When Jesus says he is the Alpha and Omega, he is saying he is everything – the beginning and the end – but he promises that at the end – he will come, to be with us!
