David and his wife Molly first started Renewal back in 1972. Since then, they have seen the church develop and grow to what we know and love today, while raising a family of their own.

David was born in Stirchley and is a proud Brummie through and through. God first spoke to David about building a church in the heart of the nation almost half a century ago, and in 1972, he began Renewal with his wife Molly.
Working for Renewal has been a lifelong passion for David. With four locations in the Midlands, it brings David great joy to see God’s vision for Renewal being completed. One of the aspects that David loves the most about church is that it is multicultural and multigenerational and truly reflects the heart of God for family.
In his free time, the proud Dad of three and Grandad of four loves playing bowls for Birmingham, Warwickshire Vice Presidents and, previously, Warwickshire County Indoors. David’s party trick is imitating the legendary Tommy Cooper to a tee!
